Interesting - I was really contemplating getting tickets for that. I guess though that I wouldn't have been lucky anyway.
I didn't know Harriet Jones Penelope Wilton was playing Gertrude in that! And Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ophelia! Half the DW gang there. *G*

"And the only blip in Hamlet's death scene was a badly-timed mobile phone ring from somewhere in row E."
--- ooooh, now can it get any more embarrassing than that?

Ah noooo...

David, what *are* you doing with your poor back? :(

I'm really anxious now, a) for David's health, and b) for how Saturday's performance will come out...

I guess if Ed Bennett steps in, it'll be interesting (having seen David's Hamlet already, even more so), but I so wanted [livejournal.com profile] winonah to see DT...

Like quite a number of people have said, being the workaholic that he is, he must be in some serious pain to let go of two performances, press night even.

*pets DT's back*
Faszinierend, so furchtbar scheint Harald Schmidts Musical gar nicht zu sein - kaum zu glauben angesichts der Bildserie. XD

Immerhin spielen sie es auch mit Lachern. :)

I did it - I caught up with most of the flist posts (at least the individual ones - don't get me started on the comms, that would take ages, probably).

I've spent the entire day up till now reading posts, cleaning up the flat (finally), and making a tinned beef and bean sprout salad - yummy (IMO the only way to use tinned beef at all):

2 packets of soy sprouts
1 red pepper
1 Spanish onion
1 big pickle
1 clove of garlic
300g/1 tin of beef
chopped parsley
4 tablespoons of ketchup
tabasco
1/2 lemon
1 teaspoon of sugar
Salt, pepper

Chop up the red pepper, onion, pickle and meat, mix with sprouts. Make a hot dressing of the ketchup, squished garlic, tabasco, lemon juice, sugar and spices. Sprinkle with lots of parsley - done. :)

Had a "mock the stupid moment" at the supermarket's cashier when I bought the stuff yesterday. Cashier guy takes the parsley, leans over to his coworker: "Hey, those are chives, aren't they?" o______________0

And to top this all, here's a picture from the Hamlet programme of which I actually have the VERY blasphemous opinion that Patrick Stewart looks a lot hotter than David Tennant. XD
